Sherm and his wife Carrie both graduated from Ozark Christian College where they met. Sherm went on to complete his master’s degree through Cincinnati Bible Seminary. The Nichols have 2 sons in heaven, a daughter and 2 sons on earth, a wonderful son-in-law, wonderful daughter-in-law, and 6 exceptional grandchildren.
Sherm considers being able to serve as a minister a great privilege and has had the blessing of traveling overseas for short-term missions work, giving him a deeper appreciation for the Lord’s work worldwide.
Along with his family, preaching, teaching, writing, and the work of the church, Sherm enjoys a good laugh, fishing, backpacking and just getting outdoors to get sunburned and bitten by bugs. As much as he enjoys this creation, Heaven is his real home. His favorite Bible character is Paul, who said, “I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.”
